Lower ball joint controversy

Lower ball joint controversy
After doing some interweb research, I found a couple of threads that had seemingly reputable posters claiming that 88-00 Civic and 88-01 Integra lower ball joints all interchange. I know that they have different part numbers, but I also that means little to nothing. I ask because I have some nice LBJ's left over from my DA, and an EK in serious need of new ones. They look similar enough in hand, but I want confirmation before I go replacing them. Anyone know or have experience with this?

I believe they meant to say 92-00 civics are compatible with 94-01 integra's but we'll see what other members will say. You can measure the outer diameter to confirm

Re: Lower ball joint controversy
EG, EK & DC ball joints are the same part number (S04-003) and therefore interchangeable.
EF & DA ball joints have a different part number (SK7-013)...and chances are the internal geometry or even the strength-requirements could be different from the S04 part, so I wouldn't try using them on an EG/EK/DC.
