Ek knuckles also have less chamber than eg/dc. The ek knuckles are shorter by 1/2" but to not change the ride height. I have some on my eh2.

Use the ones that are correct to your chassis, or your geometry will be jacked.
I'm not familiar with K-swap stuff, are those the mounts that require backdating the front subframe?

Re: Are EK and EG/DC Front Knuckles the same
Hi
I am trying to repair a damaged 1993 eg8 honda civic here in Australia. Our cars are right hand drive.
I need at least one steering knuckle (Left side) as well as UCA, LCA, brake rotors, steering rack (?) etc.
Usually, I would go to the auto wreckers and get a second hand one but the eg civics are rare here.
Aftermarket parts are either not available (eg the knuckles are only OEM) or too expensive.
OEM parts are also very expensive ($430 ex japan for a knuckle)
My question is: can I use parts from the EK civic? I am thinking of getting a whole EK front suspension and bolting it into the eg8 chassis.
This would include hubs, brake rotors, LCA, UCA, calipers, knuckle, rack.
I have read that the EK knuckle is 1/2" shorter but some say it will work and give a slight negative camber gain.
Your thoughts?

The camber is determined by the lower control arm, the knuckle and the upper control arm. Even if they are 1/2" shorter I think that would only translate to slightly lower ride height and a tiny but of camber They will work just fine. I have ran Em1 hubs on a 94 civic coupe, it worked just fine, car drove nice and was able to be aligned. Sure beats paying $430 for stock eg ones.

Thanks for your reply. Can I confirm that you mean EK1 hubs and not EM1?
Also, can you clarify if all EK knuckles are the same? I mean is the EK1 knuckle the same as an EK4?
I am guessing that the only difference might be because of different brake calipers to suit the different disk sizes (9.5" vs 10.3")?

Ok, with more research, I now understand about EM1 parts.
My only question now is can you clarify if all EK (generation 6 Civic) knuckles are the same? I mean is the EK1 knuckle the same as an EK4?

Nailed it on the head. There are two different knuckles. The ones for the EX/Si/etc (10.3”) and the ones for all the rest with the 9.5” brakes.
