I had the same probpem with the iridium plugs, I replaced the old ones and the problem went away, so I bought some new correct type (fat electrode) plugs. Maybe you could re-check your plug wires are seated correctly onto the plugs, sometimes it can slide past in the hole, or you may have the wires mixed up.

sounds like the timing might be off or something. check the cap and make sure it isnt cracked and there is no moisture in it.

Re: low rpm sputtering (93egSLEEPER)
its a SUN tune up testing equipment...inductive timing light...engine vacuum gauge...a dwell tachometer...remote starter and a compression tester

i wouldnt worry too much about anything like compression and that stuff but put that timing light to use. i small vacuum leak would make it idle bad but is usually causes idle surges. also you didnt touch any of the vacuum lines you just changed spark plugs. i would start with timing though

alright you have a timing light and kit yet your unsure how to use it... i dont know where to start for explanation. did it come with directions? they all work similar but different and without being there its hard to just give direction. also for just a minor "quick time" put the distributor in the strait up and down position. (top bolt should be in the middle) that should get you close
