low dust performance brake pads
Hey guys im tryin to figure out what would be the best pad i can buy that doesnt cover my new white wheels with dust every few days i am also getting brembo blanks..i have read the Hawk "metal mashers" are good and have low dust but cant seem to find them i have only found Axxis metal mashers and then i read that they in fact have pretty bad dust. i dunno i guess im just getting mixed reviews...the pads dont have to be the best in performance but my car is turbo'd so id like something better than OEM thanks

Asking for better braking performance from pads that dust less seems almost like an oxymoron if you ask me. I once had a set of Axxis Metal Masters on my previous car and were the worst pads, from a performance standpoint, I had ever used. They still gave off dust but it was a very light grey dust as opposed to the heavy dark grey/black brake dust you normally see. FYI, my Hawk HPS pads give off a reddish brown dust.

Which ceramic pads were u talkin about?
Honda engineers spend countless hours engineering brake pads that provide the best stopping power and minimal dust and overall
optimal preformance anything else is just a waste of your time.

go to autozone get semi-metallic or full metallic lifetime warrenty pads. they're cheap, really helps braking, and dust isnt too bad. i've got the semi-metallic right now, and it leaves some grey and sparkling silver dust. pretty managable.
i'll be frank though, they dont have that great of a fade resistance. they're still far better than non-metallic or oe pads, but they're definitely not racing pads. if you want something like that, you wouldn't care about dust, now would you?

Umm, no. Honda engineers spend countless hours balancing the fine line between cost effectiveness, longevity AND braking performance. The aftermarket is never a waste of your time & money because it appeals to the individual niche market. Not everyone wants average brake performance with nasty black dust. I'd go so far as to say the OEM pads on my '99 SiR just plain suck.

If OEM pads were so good then why does Hawk, EBC ect do better in braking than OEM?
and i believe under hard braking the OEM produce more heat compared to Hawk EBC AEM and other aftermarket pads
