Default looking for good resources for a h22a ej swap

hi everyone, im new to forums and the honda scene in general. I have a 96 civic cx hatch, and am looking to swap a h22a in fairly soon. I've been going a bunch of research on as much as I can, and was wondering what you guys found useful when learning about engine swaps. Things that I don't understand is mainly the wiring, im confused on what to do with my harness, and things concerning thew ecu (such as OBD1 and 2). Any help you can throw my way would be awesome! Sorry if these are noob questions in advance.

Can't he just get a GSR/Si/EX harness and run a couple of wires inside for VTEC while extending the alternator wires?

Yes of course. Depends how comfortable he feel about wiring. Some would rather soend tge extra for a premade one to save time and headache. More then 1 option.

I'm comfortable with extending wires and maybe adding a few, but is there a video or guide or something to tell me what i need to add? and also if I use the gsr/si/ex harness will I just have to modify it then it will it just plug into the h22a, all the components and the ecu?
