Default light weight crank pully

hey guys i remember driving my friends stock d16z6 w/ a light weight crank pulley and that shiet pulled like a dual...i was wondering if it was the crank pully that helped or did he just have a strong single...how much more power would you gain w/ having a light weight crank pulley on a d16y8...

it wont matter how much power it adds after it shatters your oil pump gears. they dont have harmonic balancers in them.
