Better is a VERY broad word. Better in every single person's eyes is different. Better will generally mean free of all visible rust, chips, dings, discoloration, bodywork all in good shape, etc. Describe "better"

Better meaning like new?

Or better meaning by adding rims, body kits, wings, stickers, lights, holes, bondo, tape, viagra, hair brushes, guns, vitamins, rice? I don't think there is a single thing people haven't added to their cars.

What you do to the car can express your personality. I just don't know what's on people's minds when they add RETARTED things.

In my opinions are to "me" looks better when it is clean and stock. Others might think "better" is someone with a 48" aluminum spoiler and 38" rims. This is going to be a long, opinionated thread with that question.

Del Sol seats
foglights
cheap OEM alloys, fat fives, lude wheels, etc
possibly used CF hood

not much stuff out there for cheap. I suppose you could get a free spoiler by stealing a park bench and bolting it to the trunk. Stickers are cheap, but are retarded, unless you really want to have them, or are getting sponsored. but whatever floats your boat

bro you have to figure you what you want. I personally like a stripped down, caged up, road race car. Others like 12' wings and more carbon fiber than the space shuttle but your the guy that has to drive it every day. If you still have that $500 take out a 6 month cd and save what you can in the meantime. Read honda-tech every day and a few other sites until you know what you want. 6 months from now you can pull cash from savings and live your dream.

Rice doesn't just mean to modify the car. Trust me, you'll know what rice is. Just don't be like The Fast and the Furios. I'm STILL thinking about what goes through people's mind when they decide to do things like this

Something about this car doesn't look right. I've never stared at a stock prelude but is this normal?

Watch out now!

Someone here said that whoever invented those POS wings, should be shot (and killed preferbly). I agree 100%

.......

You may think that some of these cars look nice, but trust me, you'll quickly realize how "not cool" they are/look.

I do agree with that term "It's your car, it only matters what YOU think" but sometimes it's just ridiculous.

Asking how to make your car look better is a question that really shouldn't be asked. It's your car, do what you want. Do what you like. If everyone tells you how to make it better and you do these things you're not doing what you want, it's what everyone else wants.

There you go with that lol. That sometimes can be very scary thing to recommend. I think most of us do an exterior modification because "we" think it looks nice, so we think others will like it too. We're pretty much showing off our cars with each modification we do.

If you wanna make your car look good, don't jump on the JDM band-wagon and riddle your car with useless JDM accessories that everybody else has - I usually HATE aesthetics upgrades with a passion, but stock bumper with a lip looks nice IMO.

Slammed doesn't look nice - LOWERED does (like 1.75-3", but slammed = )

HAHAHAHAHAHKJSDKJFDHKFDKHSKJD I didn't even notice that! NOW this enforces my belief on how that "it's your car" thing isn't always true. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT PEOPLE THINK WHEN THEY DO THIS!

No one but other civic owners will notice the difference. To other people they just see another stock civic.

That's exactly it, nail = hit on head - ONLY Honda/Acura owners will notice, the rest of people will just "see it as a civic" - it's not worth it IMO unless you're compensating for something and you need to earn rep points with the Honda boyz.

I've seen many many of these threads get locked because of reasons like "It's your car, you do what you want" but I don't believe that's right because the OP usually is looking for opinions. They ask the question in the first place because they need help deciding or are looking for more options. By locking these threads you leave the OP out in the cold.

I do believe a thread should be locked if people start to argue over what's better for the op. Posters should simply post their opinion and not bash the other guy 2 posts ago. Opinions help aid an answer or at least point you in the right direction most of the times.

He asks for our opinion's because he's new to the scene and he doesn't really know whats cool. Most honda n00b owner's go and buy a body kit for their new civic without researching and then later down the road they say "WHY THE HELL DID I EVER DO THIS TO MY CAR!?." We're here to help noob's out and let them know theres other ways to make your car look cool without putting a gay body kit on it.

You used 5 cans of camo green paint to paint your car?

I can't think of any part of my car's body to use 5 cans of camo green paint.
