Re: Lets see some pics of gutted EG's (neof69)
so this green ff hatch is called an EG????
eg is refering to the chassis right?
i just posted PUT EG PICS HERE, and some one said in the US there is no such thing, or hard to find, so why is this green one that is originaly USDM called an eg?

For ease of understanding, the common code for a 5th gen hatch is EG and a 6th gen hatch is EK, regardless of its country of origin.
Most people are able to agree to this. I have an EM, so who cares?

its a dx or cx or vx or si thats it
eg is for jdm rice

cx/dx/si are model codes, but are only used when a part fits one specific model and not others.
eg/ek/eh/ef/db/dc are chassis codes... commonly used by aftermarket tuners/mfgers to designate which products fit which chasis. so most EG products fit EH, hence why I feel comfortable using EG to describe my 1992 US EH, especially when I am looking at parts for the chassis.
it's no big deal but sheeesh this has been hammered already as an argument...

Re: Lets see some pics of gutted EG's (hydroflip)
i just removed my carpets and rear seats last night. i admit, for some strange reason it does look better when an eg is gutted. i'll eventually remove everything else but the dash, door panels, head liner and 2 front seats .

I'm the one who went "tech" on the guy when he said EG because I'm growing sick of all this want to be JDM ****. I say EG here just because if I say EH people try to say the I'M the one who's wrong...Check your damned VIN # if you're in the U.S and you will have an EH - PERIOD.
BTW: wait a few weeks and my EH2 will be back from the paint booth - INSIDE and OUT will be totally painted Silver and there will be only a dash and two seats in there - NO need to cover up the shiny new paint on the inside...
