Default Left and Right B-series axles interchangable???

Like the subject states, I want to know if the b-series left and right side axles are interchangable? I know they are equal length, but I don't know if they're interchangable. just wondering if I could get by carrying just a single spare to the track with me instead of both sides. If anyone out there can give any insight into this, besides "try it and find out" I'd appreciate it. Thanks...
