So my JDM cluster is VERY DIM even w/ all brand new bulbs, so I was thinking of getting some #74 Wedge LED lights, Question is which is the best and will they fit?

Will these fit into the back of the cluster?

It should be the same as the 2nd one. He has different colors also, but I never bought it from him, so I have no clue on the brightness. I'm planning to put White LED bulbs in my cluster also. My problem is that I have no clue how many 194 and 74 I need for a 96 civic cluster with RPM. I'm planning to buy all the LED from him, the T10 (194) and T5 (74), should have about enough brightness.

on a 96 civic ex, i only see one 194 bulb.. and rest are 74.. basically I have no clue.. so I'm guess I'm going with 10 194 and 20 74 lol

^^ true, unless you have a auto then its 2 194s. i belive you need 4 bulbs, sorry i havent done this in a while, but its always better to buy a few extra.

using leds will cause hot spots, and then spots with little to no light, leds tend to have narrow beams,

i have to agree with 98civdx the the LED's aren't normally as bright in my experience
I believe there is a web-sight www.superbrightled.com or possibly ledS one of the two. pretty cheap prices too.

it is for or five 74's and only 1 194 for the manual. don't forget about the two bulbs ob teh board that shine down on the gauges. the are smaller than the 74's and i do not remember the number of the bulbs sorry

Where is the 2nd 194? I only see 1 in the auto cluster

I modified my stock EK cluster before with all 194 led bulbs before. I had to modified the sockets to fit of cause and only reason being was because my friend only had the 194.

I had to take the gauges out and put the bulbs in from underneath but if you use the 74 like the auction you may want to use the 1st ones because the bulbs look a bit long.

If you use the 2nd ones then you might get a bright spot since it will be super close to the gauge backing. I strongly recommend you use the 1st ones and install them from the inside by removing the gauges then fanning out the led bulbs so you will get a more even light spread. Try to stay away from super bright LED's to avoid bright spots.

You will need 1 standard 194x1 bulb and the rest are 74x5.

The second choice LED, blue in color is designed with a voltage drop of 4.4 Volts with a viewing angle of either 90 or alternatively 120 degrees overall. We use that type all the time at work. Depending on the current that the LED is being driven by, depends on how bright it will shine and inversely how long it will last. From personal experience, if you drive the LED at about 20mamps, it will last 100,000 hours or approximately ~11.4 years (dependent on heat dissipation).

EDIT: Also, Bar-style LEDs have notoriously bad viewing angles. Just to clarify, if it were up to vote, I would go for the second choice. LED.
