You have only 1 header, and is it oil or like unburnt greasy sooty crap? Perhaps you have a bad exhaust gasket or a bad valve cover gasket which is allowing oil to drip down?

I remember when my go-ped (motorized scooter thingy) would have lots of black oil looking crap coming out of the exhast manifold but that was because I had it installed without an exhaust gasket.

If that's really engine oil, you don't want that crap to catch fire which is very possible.

Head gasket jumping way ahead at the moment. Just try to pinpoint exactly where it's coming. It could be from the valve cover gasket or the exhaust/header gasket itself. Remove the header and see if there's oil all over.

Did you mean to say header gasket or you really meant head gasket?

you got a busted gasket.

replace the gasket and everything should be ok.
i would replace the header gasket and the cam gasket aswell while your at it.
cuz it can also be that the cam gasket is busted at the front and its leaking and dripping down to the headers

maybe your combustion chamber is burning oil.

i had the same problem. i broke my head with it too. i thought is was my guides and seals so i got the head fully rebuilt. i threw it back on and i still had the same problem so i ripped it apart again and i found the problem. it was my oil rings on the number 4 piston. it scratched the cyl. wall enough for oil to shoot up into my exhaust valves and leak right out. oil was only coming out the #4 exhaust only.

could be his valve cover isnt screwed down tight enough, i have this same problem..looks like oil coming from the header but if you follow it, comes from the VC. my VC has two stripped bolts though, gotta be careful when tightening them.

If you have oil on your exhaust manifold. It is probably dripping down the valve through the seal, which means you might want to look at the valve steam guide seal. If you are leaking or burning coolant, it is a headgasket, cracked block, cracked head.
