Default Last chance for a dying tranny?

Okay, so i have this Z6 motor (w/tranny) in which i recently broke 200k miles on. Now I know it's the tranny that's gone to ****. It's come down to a point where the noises it makes went from a light 'baseball card in bike spoke' sound to a pretty distinguished 'metal on rotor' sound. Specifically it happend while on my way home I just hit vtech while in 4th, but went away when going into 5th.

Now I am getting a swap but I'm waiting for my brother to get his car so that i can drive his while the swap (and other various work is being done to my car). My brother could get a car tomarrow, he could get one in two months.

Boiling question: Is there anything i can do to help sqeeze just a little more life out of this transmission of mine? Obviously granny driving, but would changing transmission fluid help?... Altho i don't exactly have trouble shifting. And if so, a menial favor, a DIY for changing Tranny fluid. I've done searches but nothing close to a DIY.

Thanks

Just be easy on it until your brother does get a car.

And when he does, do everything you can to completely destroy the tranny, let it go out in a blaze of glory.
