koyo kicked my a$$
did anyone run into problems when they installed there koyo radiator? I DID... i had to modify my fan mounting location cuz i run a fal fan. my coolant reservoir doesn't line up due to the radiator. and to top things off, my radiator cap doesn't fit neither. WTF? did any one else encounter any problems like these??

YEah i've been hearing about lotsa problems with Koyo Radiators... And even the koyo radiator cap doesn't fit good enough or something. My friends with koyos have heating issues as well... I was contemplating on getting one today too... lol

Re: koyo kicked my a$$ (gldnchildek9)
i have a koyo dual core with fal fan and i had similar problems:
My cap fit fine but the reserve tank doesn't fit right and my cluster temp gauge goes wacky sometimes. Sometimes the temp gauge will be in the red but I have a little electronic "gun thermometer" and it says I am running anywhere between 185 and 202 when the gauge is in the red. Also, I had to mangle my radiator stay because the koyo radiator sits a half of an inch lower.

i used fluidyne rad's for years , no problems , some come with caps some dont, depending on dealer, have found they have two size caps in honda 1.1 and 1.2 if your cap is to small tell part store you need a 1.2, or vice versa

I've dropped in a Koyo full size (the smaller ITR one, there are 2) into my EG with a single FAL slim fan.
of course the FAL wouldn't fit the mounts, but that wasn't a problem with some brackets and spacers. My rad didn't come with a cap either so i went out and bought a Greddy one. the reserve bottle still fit along with my J's intake too.
other than that, i've had no problems at all with the rad.
