Default Konig Helium VS Curb

92 b18c1 powered harvardblue hatch before curb.

Peices of wheels that we found after impact.

The wheel by itself but the Azenis never busted ... Good tires for the price.

Dayum.....I was thinking about buying those rims too. Maybe that is what you get for 100 rims. I can afford to replace those at that price.

nah its aluminum man,
just looks funky cuz it "tore" off... metal doesnt like to tear, hehe.

but yeah you hit a curb goin that fast, and your asking for trouble,
100 dollar wheel or no 100 dollar wheel.

i mean ****.. if your thinking "i'm not going to buy these wheels cuz they'll break when I hit a curb goin 40" then maybe you should rethink hitting curbs going 40... dont know about you but I dont like doin that. heh

If you're going to hit a damn curb doing "25 to 40 ish" any wheel will tear apart like that lol. My guess is he was doing more on the 40 ish side than 25.

Good thing that is the only damage done.

I don't think any wheels are built for that kind of punishment Probably would of happened to 95% of the wheels out there.

heh...at least they are cheap wheels and easily replaceable...can't you buy those things by single wheels? nice...azenis took the punishment better than the wheel

Why would you want to buy wheels based on this?

like everyone said, almost all wheels would do this at that speed, except steelies I guess, so at $100 their a pretty good replacement price.

You act like a $385.00 a wheel Spoon or Mugen wheel would not have broken.

I'd rather be out $85.00-$95.00 for a wheel and be able to get it from 50 places online that have them IN STOCK than look for a $385.00 wheel that people merely claim to be able to get.

Either way "eek". Whether they be forged, cast, poured, etc., a wheel isn't designed to do that. I'm just surprised the LCA's and what not survived without being bent/broken. I guess the wheel took the impact.

wheel + curb + speed = broken/bent/etc (regardless of brand)

it's simple physics. i bet he's glad he has cheap wheels at this point, he's out 1/4 of what he could be.

Well I'm getting 2 new wheels and 2 new tires . My back rim also got alittle messed up "bent" but if you notice in the pic the outside lip of my rim is good its just the spokes busted out of it. Also all of my suspension is good its also all gsr front and back along with the stabalizers.

I would disagree i recall when fowlery0! hit the curb with his volk te37's, his rim bent and didn't shatter, even though he did suffer some suspension damage, the fact remains his wheel was still intact. So with that said a forged wheel wont crumble like that.
