If you drive your car on the street, then no.
Off-the-shelf Koni Sports are more than enough for street applications.
SPSS valving is pretty much track-only.

Re: koni race spss shocks (EKboyEK96)
stiffness is not a concern. i am fully prepared to give up comfort for speed. i plan on bringing this car to the track every weekend. the question is can they be run on the street without damaging them. comfort is not a concern for me. i just read somewhere that they cannot be run on the street because they need to be rebuilt often. thank you.

you'd be better off with a set of shocks that are built for rally, rather than track shocks. Look at the typical track...are there hug pot holes, uneven surfaces, etc? Most likely not, so the shocks are will be in need of rebuilding or incure damage more often when driven on the street because they will be working a lot harder than they would on the track.
BTW...shocks don't make you faster

In that case, I'd contact H-T member CRX Lee for his opinion on the matter. His name is Lee Grimes and he is a representative of Koni North America. He should be able to point you in the right direction.
You may also want to ask in the RR/AX forum. There are many members there running SPSS valving on both track-only cars and dual-purpose cars.
I wouldn't listen to anyone here in the EG forum, because they know very little about track cars. Most people in here are street stunnas. And rightly so I suppose, since this is a more general model-specific forum, not a tech or racing forum.

It is rather amusing how untrue this really is.

While in general this is true...a shock that is not designed for the particular applicaion will cause you to slow down...because you will be fighting the car and physics to maintain control.
I was probably too general with that comment...sorry for the confusion.
