knock sensor,poor power!!
Hi.I'm new here from Mauritius.I've a civic ek3,B16A(2) JDM engine running with a converted A/T to M/T JDM P30 ECU.There is a code 23 which comes after 3-5 minutes driving.I made the ecu diagnose and it results knock sensor. So is there anyone who can inform me how far is it concerned with my engine power and with the vtec mechanism? Thanks in advance.

Re: (Relic1)
meh... both your edit and his original reply made perfect sense.
make sure the sensor is clipped in and you don't just have a broken clip. that's happened to me before... if the clip is fine and it's actually the sensor, you'll have to replace it. it's telling your engine you have a knock essentially even when you don't (unless you really do... hah), and adjusting in an attempt to not cause damage (in turn deteriorating your power output).
