Knock sensor
I have tried searching and i cant find any thing useful enough.
I am wiring a knock sensor into a 95 gsr that is in a 92 civic si. the wires that were connected to the knock sensor had a 2 prong plug on it but only one wire coming from it that was wrapped in insulation with, what looked like a ground wire in it. the "ground" wire then met up to another plug, that i have no idea what is used for. (it connects to a black box looking thing right under the IM).
My problem is i ran the wire to the ecu and connected it to the knock sensor. it still threw a CEL. I then took a different 2 prong plug that had 2 wires coming off of it and connected it to the sensor. i grounded one wire and connected the other to the wire going to the ECU. CEL came on again.
Not sure what to do now.

Re: Knock sensor (eskerley)
OBD1 doesnt support the knock sensor. i had mine deleted off my ecu chip program. It also in a way just detunes your car also. dont worry about wiring it unless you convert to OBD2
