Default Just put 00 si disc brakes on my 96 EX....small problem...HELP!

I just took the read suspension, disc brake setup off of my wrecked si and put it on my 96 ex. Everything went well.....we bled the brakes as normal...after bleeding them they are SOOO squishy...i can push the pedal to the floor. the 96 had ABS but i just cut the ABS pulse wiring going to the rear so ABS wont work ( i hate it ) i dont know how to fix the squishy pedal....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

it sounds like you should try and bleed them a little better and not rush it...
I agree

Yeah, rebleed.

Make sure you do this...

Pump pedal three times then hold steady preasure on pedal..

crack bleeder JUST ENOUGH for fluid to leak out.

Then before the pedal hits the floor, close the bleeder.

Repeat until you see no bubbles.

Follow these steps listed but atatch a piece of tubing and a baby jar, fill the jar about 1/2 way. Then Bleed. It will give you a little better picture of the "air" and less chance or none of sucking air back in. Make sure the line goes below the level of fluid in the jar. (empty as nessesary) Use a good fluid and dont put back any of the old stuff you bled out. Also Make sure the peson pumping the brakes does it slowly. It will help to keep the air in larger sections instead of millions of tiny bubbles. If it is still mushy go to Auto zone and borrow thier hand vacuum bleeder. It works well expecially if you do it alone.
try bleeding far corner then the closest corner. like the passenger side rear, then driver rear, passenger side, then driver side.

Thanks for the help guys. I was told i might need to switch the "partioning valve" or something like that. My Ex has ABS and i just cut the ABS wires because my SI suspension was not ABS. Should i worry about switching the valve????

OH by the way BRANCH! F- You!

Proportioning valve. Since you have disabled ABS (not a wise idea, IMHO), the proportioning valve is now VERY important about modulating brake pressure from front to back.

I do not know for sure if the valves are different for your swap, but you should look into it, if you are going to leave ABS disabled.

You have to get the speed sensor off an Integra with ABS to make it work (off each wheel). I haven't done this conversion myself, so it might require the whole spindle.

Cars are mucho better with ABS (for the street, for sure). If you can make it work - I would. It would be worth the cost.
