Default Just picked up my new toy....

Hey all, name here is John. Just pick up a Red 1997 Honda Civic CX 5sp Hatchback. Very clean body, no rust, nothing power but the brakes, and A/C. Weird combo but I love it. Seems to be so light weight, just what I wanted.

I come from the DSM world, still have a highly modified 1995 Eagle Talon AWD, 6bolt swap, T67 garrett, FMIC, DSMLink, etc. Looking to get awesome mileage I can out of my new lightweight civic...

So far putting on new Intake, exhaust, and I powdercoated the valve cover. My little hatchback sure is a fun car to drive.

Pictures soon.....

P.S. Car is a 5sp, but has no tach, I understand there is supposed to be a pretty easy swap of a similar gauge cluster that has a tach in it, what type of car can I get one from??? Thanks :-)

For the tach you can get a 5spd EX cluster for about $75 that will have a tach in it. Beyond that is the SI, JDM SIR, Type R. Those all cost more and look slightly diffrent

Thanks for the quick reply :-), Looks like it's time to make a trip to the local U-pull-it yard and see if I can score a cluster.

I'll try to post some pictures up after I get back from lunch.
