Default Just got an EG5 - advice upon what to do...WARNING NEWB!

HI all - names Ben from Australia - and i just got myself a tidy little honda civic 93 EG5 Si ...and i want to make it quicker from point to point ! ON a student budget !

Reason saying, that down here the honda scence is non existant compared to the states- 2nd to the rising sun u guys no the most about my car !

SOFAR - i have a apexi n1 NA muffler with 2 inch cat back piping ...and eneki rp01's with yokhama grandprix rubber... but thats it !

For cheap , what mods can i do...i swapping bits for dc2 bits ( intake etc) but for a low price, what would make this little car go abit better ?

And, for suspension ...
no way i can afford decent coilovers...i just want to make the handling alot more tighter...

Any basic ideas... for u honda pros u .

Cheers , Ben !

as far as suspension is concerned on a students budget, i would just opt for set of adjustable sleeved coilovers such as ground control and a set of kyb's of tokicos. a set of strut and sway bars will help out alot too.
after that, engine mods, Intake and header would be nice, most other things from that point on, on an NA car, start getting expensive..such as cams and cam tuning.
good luck man...
let me know how the progress goes.
G'day

gc/skunk coils are pretty expensive IMO, so are adjustable shocks..... but I'm on a budget too, and I don't bank it like some people on here. All I'm running are Eibach prokits on tokico blues for now. I think my car still sits high but at least better than stock. Rides nice though. But anyways, yeah since you got the muffler already, get the rest of the piping bigger and add intake & header. That's a good student car already.

before u don any motor mods i think u should do basic maintence first like replace fuel filter, spark plugs, spark wires, cap% rotor, oil, trans oil, belts etc.
After that u could do cold air intake and lighten the car by getting rid of your a/c and other nonessential junk.
Since your on a budget u could DIY strut bars if u hav access to a shop
