Just a few thoughts...
Ok guys first I would like to compliment this site, I tried a lot of Honda forums but I stuck to this one. Anyway, in the near future I want to save up for a 93 DX coupe. I would like your guys' opinions. I know the CX/VX hatchs are light and all, but I like the style of the coupes better for some reason. I want to save for a DX because I can care less about a sunroof, power windows are ok and all, but I heard the motors die out over time and it's costly to repair. Say you drop a GSR motor in the DX coupe and hit a 15 flat, what estimate do you think you'd get with the same driving/motor in the CX hatch with same conditions?
Anyway, for you people that have swapped, what problems do you guys usually have? I know the GSR motor makes a good amount of power, but 3500 is expensive. I plan on going all motor and a GSR swap sounds like my choice, so I would like you guys' opinions on this.
I dont think this post is too clear so just respond and try to be nice .
Thanks

Well, 15 flat is a little slow for a GSR swap into a coupe. Unless the motor is tired, set-up is al screwed up with a bad driver. Weight to HP ratio is the huge factor when it comes to racing. Check out our website... You'll understand.. Let me remind you that the GSR motor was completly stock (GSR) from oil pan to the valve cover gasket.

Have you guys ever heard that every 100 lbs you lose on your car is .1 off your et? I think that is false. My friend ran a 15.6 in his bone stock SI, took the motor dropped it in a CX hatch hit a 14.6. Almost a second difference, so I'm thinking it's more of a 50 lbs/.1. Anyway, what numbers do you think a DX coupe with a GSR motor would do? Thanks again.

The reason you're not getting too many replies is because this question or variations of it have been asked before. If you've tried using the search function try searching by just putting in GSR and this forum or the hybrid forum and see what you come up with.
Its hard to guess what the car will do. Tracks are different, drivers are different, motor's are different, conditions are different. You really can't say if I put X motor into X body what will it run. Yes a GSR motor in a CX full interior should be faster then a DX coupe full interior
