I have a 97 DX coupe. (EJ6) and currently I have my stock d16y7.

I honestly do not think my motor is going to last very much longer.

I was thinking about maybe doing a mini-swap for now, until I get my b18b1 motor. But then I thought it's a waste of money.

What should I do? mini-me for now, or just try and save up for the b18b1. Or find another motor for cheap, for now swap it in and then start saving up for my b18b1???

You guys can bash all you want, Im expecting it.

If your motor isnt going to last, then why the hell would you waste all of ur time on a head swap? What exactly is about to expire in the engine? Head gasket? piston rings? Valve seals? Tranny? My Mini-me cost me about $600, so if ur planning on swapping a B18 anyway i'd just do that

why do you think you're engine isnt going to last much longer?
if you think that then dont worry about the head swap, save for the b18
btw you can post in GDD and im now.

I'd take it easy on the engine for now and save up.

Save up, do it right the 1st time around. The head swap would be a complete waste of money if your going to do the swap anyways.

go easy, save, repair the engine if you can and if it won't cost much, then sell the engine.
