Just Curious - D15B8 Redline discrepency
My CX motor redlines at about 5500-5700 RPM according to my tach (from an SI)
this site says redline is 6500 RPM http://www.enginereplacement.c...c.htm
So, for the sake of simply figuring it out (the motor is usless above 4500 RPM anyway... actually its uselss period) which redline is correct, and if im 1000 RPM lower, well, why woud that be. To much backpressure in exhaust due to clogged cat? ecu doing something weird? Tach sucks at life? It seems pretty accurate. Idle shows normal idle rpm etc.

thanks. So anybody know what could be the issue?
BTW, I have a motor being rebuilt (and slightly built) on a stand, no way in hell I could keep this motor.

Re: Just Curious - D15B8 Redline discrepency (Eyal 951)
anyone? I tried yesterday, it wont rev to 6500. its kinda weird, rev limit varies from 5500-5800. I tried "overrevving into 6100 by downshifting to see what happens it was just in rev limit.
