Re: Jumping MPH Needle??????
It seems like there may be lots of reasons for the needle to bounce. Here's my experience:

Re: Jumping MPH Needle??????
so last night the needle kept bouncing and all of a sudden while driving the car started rev limiting @ 3,200 RPM's.
im not sure if its the ECU because it has a chip for 2step. i was told this is due to the fact that the VSS isnt working properly .. PLEASE HELP

Re: Jumping MPH Needle??????
My needle would Bounce sometimes on startup when it was slightly colder outside but this may not be in ur case.. also i had spells where it wouldnt even work (needle in car) so try taking the speed sensor off of the tranny spin the wheel around a little and make sure that the small gear on the end is not pushed up on the little rotor you can check this by pulling the gear wheel away from rest of the sensor GENTLY this will also give you a check if it is really loose and possibly worn out then carefully install existing or (new sensor) making sure you dont press the spinning gear back up on the little rotor. try this to see if it works and on the ecu part u may need to have your local shop (or if u have equip) burn a base map for your motor with no two-step making sure you tell exactly what upgraded parts you have on the motor setup.. GOod Luck HOpe this may help SOme
