Are JE pistons stock in a 2000 B16A2?
I am in the prosses of rebuilding my engine (B16A2).... I have it all apart and I was looking at the pistons and they say JE on them (it also says 81M on it). They have a dish like top to them.
I belive that JE makes aftermarket pistons....dose JE make pistons for hondas stock engines or is it possile that the person I got my swap from replaced the pistons (I had the engine imported from Japan)?
The rods say 5276.HO on them, and they have APR 2000 Bolts in them.
What do you think?
Any info would be great

looks like you got some lower comp pistons yo
I have a guy looking for some actually.
Only way to find compression is this...find out the piston dome displacement...for those pistons it will be a negative number.
and then plug into a compression calculator

I was planning on boosting the engine anyways so it couldnt have worked out any better... The pisonts look just like the ones I was going to buy.....I feel so special....
They look kinda like these, no markings on top tho....

With any info on the piston cc's he wont be able to calculate his compression. But being dished i'm guessing 9 flat? Maybe the motor was turbo'd before? Looks like you tore it apart when you didnt have to. Try to get some pictures so we can see what you have.

Your right, but I needed a winter project, plus I am sending the entire motor out to be acid cleaned. My swap actuly ended up be quite a good deal. The guy messed up my order the first time so I ended up getting the B16A2 (I was told it was out of an Si-R II), tranny, ecu, axels, shift linkages, all AC and all PS parts for $850 + $250 for shipping to my house so a total of $1100 . When I swaped the motor in and got it running it turned out that it had a blown head gasket, the company I bought the engine sent me $600 to have it fixed.
I am also putting in CTR cams and new springs and retainers in.
I have been searching JE Pistons and kinda firgured out that they are in the 8.5-9:1 area, which is perfect for my turbo setup that I was alredy planning on buying low commpression pistons for....
