JDM to usdm ecu??
i got a jdm ecu and to pass smog i need to use a USDM ecu. however when i hook up my friend's gsr ECU, my check engine light comes on. the mechanic told me all i have to do is hook up some type of wire from near the fuel pump to the ecu for the light to work properly. i guess my question is: how do i get that damned check engine light to go away? i just need it working in order to pass smog...so ghetto rigged as a temp solution works great for me!
thanks in advance.
*edit- i have a jdm wiring harness n all that good stuff also*

Re: JDM to usdm ecu?? (edrop27)
u need alot more than "just hook up a wire" to make all the check light off.
you should have 3 code.
22- vtec pressure switch
54- CFK sensor
65- secondary O2 sensor.
good luck, its not easy to fix..............

first, harness cost alot, and i dont think anyone will take their out from their car(ton of work)
second, even u got the harness, the light will still on, since you dont have the sensor.
