JDM ITR Steering Wheel in 92 VX
I searched and found a few topics about this but of course there were conflicting reply's. I need to know if the JDM ITR non-SRS steering wheel (Momo) will fit a 92 Civic VX without adapters or anything like that. I was told by a few people that they fit 88-91 Civic/CRX perfect but the 92-95 Civic needs the horn button rewired somehow? I'm looking for some solid proof from people who have one in their 92-95 Civic, what's needed to install/rewire, etc.?

Re: JDM ITR Steering Wheel in 92 VX (VTECVillain)
it should fit, you just have to remove the cable reel thats located behind your stock steering wheel. This reel connects the steering wheel to the wires for the horn, airbag, and cruise control if you have it. You have to do the same thing if you get a regular momo steering wheel inorder to fit the hub. The horn button is lost unless you rewire it to the jdm steering wheel some how.

its not that difficult to do. You can just wire it to a seperate button that you can put on the column.
Or
To use the horn button on the jdm steering wheel you need to have make a contact for the back of the steering wheel. And wire, the horn wires to that contact. People use different methods to do this. Try searching "momo horn." There was a thread a while ago that gave a few different methods on how to rewire the horn to a momo steering wheel to a 92-95 civic. The same will apply to the jdm non-srs steering wheels.

Used the contact patch found on the last gen CRX '88-'91 at a junkyard. Where the contact mounts to, run a wire to a (+) lead under the fuse box. The actual contact is the (-) where it sits on the steering wheel.
Its not that hard , just some extra work and research.
