JDM ITR rear tower bar in a 5th gen hatch
I'm researching tower bars and was curious about the DC2/Integra-R Factory Rear Tower Bar being put into hatchback. (1): Does anyone have this in their 5 gen hatch? (2): does it require cutting to the back panel so it'll fit correctly? It looks like all you'd have to do is remove the 2 caps from the paneling and it would drop right into place. I'd rather not cut any paneling if possible. I know for the Mugen one and others you have to cut the paneling a bit but just want to be sure.
Here's a link to it on an integra...

Yeah, definitely let me know when you get it on your car. I'm in no hurry to purchase one, still researching diff bars, and where to buy it from. Thanks for the info so far everyone.
Anybody else have experience w/it?

Put it in yesterday. Left the caps off and had to trip some of the part were the cap would clip in. If the caps go back on, they would cover where I cut, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, by looking at the pics of it on the ITR i figured if i HAD to trim some paneling it would be minimal. Thanks for the info. Where did your friend originally buy it from? The lowest price i've seen so far is @jdmhondaparts for $169+shipping. Also let me know how much of a diff the bar made. Thanks man.

I'm not sure where he bought it from originally, he's had it for a few years. As to feeling a difference, I couldnt tell you, I've only done a short roadtrip with it on, no real chance to explore it.

I tried the other night and it will definently need to be trimmed. It was late so I decided to leave it until a another day.
