Default jdm EK 4 door mirrors

i just recently purchased some JDM power folding mirrors for my EK 4 door and i did not opt to get the switch and relay. i wanted to know if anyone could tell me if i just wire them up to a stock USDM power mirrors switch will it work to just make them power adjusting? also if anyone had a diagram of this or could let me know how to do it. not looking to get them to be folding with the switch just adjustable. didnt have the extra hundred to spring for the switch and relay. any help is appreciated, thanks.

Im sure you could wire it up to move the mirrors themselves...but you wont be able to fold the mirrors in/out electronically, you will need the jdm power switches for that.

yea, thats all i want it to do is power adjust. i realize that to power fold i will have to get the JDM switch. still want to know how to do this or anyone that has done it. does it work for sure, will it mess up the mirrors by not having the right switch with no relay? digram on wiring would be awsome.

no one has helped you out yet...i need to get paid for this ****.

1. purchase jdm power folding mirror switch w/ wires
2. install (now your JDM)

Step 2 clarified: Heres a link (i know its a WRX but its based on the same principle)
You have to run 2 wires from the switch to each door and then to each mirror and then bolt them in place.

thanks Built2Spill for the info

1. i did purchase the JDM mirrors
2. i did not want to get the switch and relay right yet and was trying to find out if i could wire them up to my stock USDM non-folding switch with no relay. just to make them power adjusting.
3. still looking for a solid answer to that question

I got a question. Are you sure they will fit? Because its my understanding the coupe and sedan mirrors are not interchangable. Now maybe you bought sedan ones I dont know- Are you sure they will fit?

I was looking into this for a while too but soon realized its would be tough to find sedan ones.

i did get 4 door ones, sedan. yes i have test fit them also to make sure. the coupe/hatch ones do differ from 4 door only on the door mount. right at the corner of the door for the mirror mount the coupe/hatch are rounded and the 4 door ones are pointed.

if you want the budget route and not get the oem wiring relay here's what you do: buy a cheap $10-15 radio shack generic relay, run the wiring as you would with the normal oem relay and it will work. however the drawback is you will have to hold the button until it folds all the way in or all the way out. sometimes i have even seen them not really work right which is why people always come back and end up buying the oem relay. with this you will at least need the switch since the USDM one dont have the folding button. you can also hook it up to an alarm which i have seen also. many ways to do it, just depends on how you want to do it
