jdm d15b Vtec-E HELP!
Here is my setup
JDM d15b VTEC-E engine
Cx intake manifold - which i beleive has no EGR
P07 (vx ecu)
cx harness
5 wire o2 sensor |- repinned ecu harness, and ran wires directly to sensor-]
Alright now
I am throwing a code 48 (keep reading)
I have read that this is a bad o2 sensor
BUT
could also be the heating element?
I am wondering a few things....
1- could this code be thrown from not having the VX manifold/vtec-e manifold with the EGR
2- could i have wired this wrong?
I have the yellow wire off of the o2 sensor run to a grounding point inside the engine bay... will this work? or does it need to ground to a wire off the ecu.
3- could this be caused by an exhaust leak of any kind?
4- would this motor cause this? since its running a p07 USDM ecu on the jdm vtec-e engine?
any help or ideas are appreciated
I really dont feel like paying $200 for another 5 wire o2 sensor.
thanks

yeah apparently in japan there is no D15z1, its just labeled d15b, has a VTEC-E valve cover
but internally etc is the same as the z1
IE, EGR, 5 wire o2 etc...

yea there are 3 JDM d15b's...
SOHC VTEC
SOHC 2 stage Vtec (some people call it 3 stage)
SOHC VTEC-E
my car (d15z1) throws code 12 when the egr isnt connected (lol what luck, code 12 is EGR malfunction)

True, bump for some ideas as I'll be putting this engine in my crx sometime.

Alright
well im in the process of putting the z1 style manifold back on, the one with the EGR on it.
Just doesnt make since that im not throwing a code 12 (for EGR) seeing as how i dont have one hooked up period???
Ive read that with no EGR it makes ur car run lean.
Ive also read that if u have shitty gas etc, then u can throw a code 48 due to the engine leaning out.
On the EGR there are 3 wires coming off of it.
And i have only found 2 wires on the ECU pinouts for it.
Is there something it wires to on the firewall first?
