Jdm d15b and two questions
My idle will sometimes be constant(1000)and sometimes it will act up and go down to 500 after driving and then back up to 1000 after some driving.I was thinking maybe just clean out the idle control valve and bleed my coolant system and see if that helps. If i decide to get another icav(brand new)which one will work? d15z1 or d16z6.
Also i have a depo foglight kit and when i turn it on my idle drops a bit and its very annoying. Now i understand that things like this will take power but is there anyway to reduce it from taking so much power? or is this all leading up to the faulty icav.

if the altenator has a heavy load, it sends a signal to the ecu to bump up the idle. it sounds like you may have a bad iacv. most obd1 iacv's are the same, so you might want to try the one off your old motor. i have an extra one around here somewhere....

try that thread and read it, i had an idel problem i could never figure out, i have replaced 3 iacv's bleed the coolant, check vacuum lines, and it ended up being the FITV
hope this helps.
