Default jdm b18c motor into eg? wiring question

sup all.. i've been out of hondas for a long long time now so i've forgotten almost all of it :-( I'm looking for quick advice on wiring a jdm itr motor into 95 EG.. it should be all plug and play correct? i used to own one back in few years ago and i remember all i need was a jumper.. and everything else was plug and play.

Thanks all.. btw, how much are these jumpers going for these days?

It depends on what ecu you are going to use and which car its going into(cx,vx,dx,ex) and which wiring harness your going to use.

the motor will come with an ECU it will most likely be a 00 model.. its going into a 95CX.. back when i had my eg i just plugged the jumper into my harness and into the jdm itr ecu and that was it. I dont see why this would be any different but of course wanted to double confirm as i'm not sure.

The easiest way if your going to use the ITR ecu besides the OBD1 to OBD2 conversion harness would be to get a OBD2 wire harness from an integra otherwise youll have to modify the distributor plugs, alternater plug, and injectors if your going to use your stock cx wire harness. You would also need to add some wires for vtec and knock sensor I believe. Your other choice would be to sell the ITR ecu and run a p28 with hondata which would be what I suggest especially if you plan on modding the ITR motor and then the only wire you would need to add would be for vtec assuming you still get a OBD2 wire harness from a teg. Thats the route I took for my 97 jdm GSR into a 95 dx.

just sell your obd2 ecu and pick up a obd1 chipped p28 or p72(get it spec'd to type r p73). you should be able to get good $$$ out of that p73.

Just remember, you still have to wire A. Knock sensor B. Vtec solenoid C. pressure sensor and D. IAB. Your still using a non-vtec car harness so either way you need to run those wires. Another option would be to buy a new car harness, but unless you want to throw down like $800, you could go with a 95 Si harness, in that case you wont have to wire Vtec. Also, you can get a chipped ecu to void the knock sensor, then you wont have to wire that either. Things starting to come back to you now?

Wiring Knock isn't needed with a rechipped P28 ECU.

yep thats what i was thinking too.. at the same time get rid of that speed cut off BS on jdm ecu.. this way he can save a few pesos and pick up a ponnie or two :-) sweet!

Yes p28 will be the easiest, but you will still have to either rewire the plugs on the distributor, injectors, and altenator. Or you can get obd1 injectors, obd1 altenater, and obd1 altenator. Or you can buy an OBD2 LS harness which would be the cheapest of the OBD2 harnesses, I got mine for 40 bucks. You will still have to wire vtec selenoid and maybe vtec pressure depending if your motor has it or not.

Okay. I bought a 98 JDM ITR motor. Only thing I did to get it to run was re chipp a P28 and get a diff vtec solenoid (JDM one has oil pressure tapped off).

I used the JDM WIRING HARNESS WITH OUT A PROBLEM (I'm still using it in a USDM ITR swap now). No wiring up distributors, no wiring up knock.
