it's COLD!!!!!!!!! need help
hey guys,
Im having a problem with the heating in my car. For the past 5 days its been between -20C and -35C. So apart from my battery not beeing that strong and having a hard time not starting ,but the little bugger manages to surprises me sometimes, i'm having a problem with my heating. First of it doesnt get really hot anymore its just warm and also it takes really long to warm up after the needle shows that the engine is warm. Also when im at a stop or a red light and the car is not in motion the warm air becomes cool air. I am wondering what the problem could be maybe the thermostate? Also my friend told me that running my short ram could be not helping the situation as there is to much cold air coming in since it so cold outside.
BTW my car is a 93 Si hatch
thanks for the help!!!!
PS: help fast because its going to be real cold tomorrow.
Dave

I dont think so. Thermostat could be the culprit...just incase you havent, check your hosing to make sure none are partially frozen or anything....especially the hose leading to the climate control. My dad had water as coolant once, and all the hoses froze overnight. No heat due to the hose-> climate control was frozen. No heat SUCKS. Good luck.
