Default ITR suspension/wheels/5 lug/sways on a 98 coupe (EJ6) or aftermarket?

I am looking into getting new wheels, suspension and sway bars for my 98 coupe. Would i be better off going with the whole set up straight off of an ITR? Or purchasing everything aftermarket? The car would be used mainly as a street car, so nothing to harsh, but it would probably see some track days @ Road Atlanta. Would the ITR spring rates and sway bars serve this purpose well? The full ITR set up seems cheaper, but would I be that much better off to spend the extra money on an aftermarket set up (sways, GC/Koni coilovers, Rotas)? Thanks guys! Rick

the type R sway bars are not expensive but things may add up if you dont have all the brackets, LCA's, and other tidbits like beaks. but there are other alternatives such as ST front and rear kits for 250 with everything included to mount to YOUR specific car. this is what i use. people will say "thats only 19mm compared to the ITR rear 22/23". my personal opinion is that you could dial in that much extra oversteer or turn in response with simplistic things like tire pressure and spring rates, etc etc.

as far as 11 inch brakes.. i personally could get an 11 inch brake system modeling something like fast brakes for cheaper then the cost of the whole 5 lug/11 inch deal. and 11 inch in the rear (if you feel you need that)

shocks and springs: who cares about the ITR ones since they will most likely 99% of the time changed out for aftermarket equipment anyway.

would i go 5 lug? probably not as i feel i could build something to match it or something better for cheaper, but it all coems down to preference. i have friends with 5 lug and i have friends who've done it a little different. its all about preference and what works right for YOU.

I agree, seperate all of the ITR parts will cost about the same, and the performance will not be quite what the aftermarket parts can offer, but I have seen the whole ITR set up for sale as a whole, for around $2k. I just thought that would come out much less than wheels w/ tires ($800), GC/Konis (around $800 im guessing) sways (say $350 for both), and brakes ($800). I dunno, im just trying to get the best performance on a limited budget. Thanks for your help! Rick
