integra brakes on an eg5
Hi all,
I'd like as mentionned in the title to put integra calipers on a civic eg5.
apparently there is a part to file on the caliper so it can align correctly with the disk. Part to file approx 1.5mm circle in red
my question is what disks would you use to adapt to the swap. I've been advised to use prelude calipers like bb1 or 4g but I'm not shure if they are the same between prelude bb1 disks and prelude 4g disks
hope it's clear enough
thanks

What knuckles do you have man?
Sounds like your trying to put the ITR caliper type caliper on an Ex/GSR knuckles. If so then just send those calipers brackets to the machine shop and have them shave 1/8" off where you circled in Red.
Then you will need to redrill a set of lude rotors or ITR rotors to fit.
I got myself a set of calipers from the Legend and getting ready to do that once again.

not true (noob)! if they are ex or gsr knuckles. then all is need is the itr caliper and the bracket, no shaving.
if you have a more basic civic model like dx, hx, cx, vx. and is trying to add bigger brakes, like that of the gsr, then yes you would want to shave.
to the OP, i have provided a link that should help you out.

Re: integra brakes on an eg5 (philosofy1)
many thanks they are integra type R brakes (same as the one on the pic) so I need to file yes.
so if I take basic discs from a BB1 lude or a 4G lude and redrill it should fit..?

ITR mount bracket needs to be shaved if you plan to stay 4x100 and use the standard GSR/SI hubs. If you did a 5 lug conversion with ITR hub then it's a bolt on. The ITR hub's wider than the GSR/SI one which is wider than the CX/DX hub.
I shaved .080" not .125" though. Since it's brakes and clearances are sloppy, the difference might not matter. If you file it and it's not square, the calipers won't sit square and you'll always have wierd pad wear.

Re: integra brakes on an eg5 (MasterKwan)
I was planning to stay 4x100 and from what people advised me, I should give it to a professional company so they can file it. They also advised me to file the whole section that is sticking out (section circled in red) so I don't know if this is equal to .080" or if it's more?
