Intake manifold problem after disassembling
Hi all
A few weeks ago, I cleaned my intake manifold with clean brake without dismounting it. The only part that I dismounted was the throttle body, and I sprayed the interior of the intake mani.
Since I hear a noise (a "pschit" like turbo ) between 2500 - 3000 rpm and between 4500 - 5000 rpm.
Did that already arrive at the one of you? How to cure it?
Thank you by advance for your answers
Sorry for my english...

Re: Intake manifold problem after disassembling (FanaHONDA)
not quite understanding what your saying here.
do you have an aftermarket air intake? cause mine makes that noise.

I don't think brake parts cleaner is combustible. You're supposed to use carburetor cleaner and have the engine running, or else you can hydrolock the motor. If you're going to use brake cleaner, you have to remove the intake manifold from the motor first.
I'm not sure about your noise. Is it a constant noise when you keep the RPMs in those ranges? Or does it just make that noise for a short time when you reach that RPM?

suspendedHatch, yes it's a constant noise when i keep the RPMs in those ranges, and the car and idle are normal.
would it have another thing to do before i must re-disassembling the intake manifold?

Re: (civic_driver)
I already tried to listen closely the engine during accelerating (with my car staying static) but there was no noise...
I hear it only when the car's running.
I will try to re-listen closely the IACV.
If the noise comes from it, what should i do? clean it
Thanks for your replies all
