insurance is starting to become a bitch of a payment for me, so i might end up selling my 99 em1. question is, if i picked up a hybrid ek, would it drop noticeably or not??

It probably wouldn't drop much, if at all. Call your insurance provider and get a quote.

all of my BS...cops being dick tickets...(giving you a ticket for just driving a sports car) came off my record..and I'm now clean as of a few months ago....now I only pay about 600 for 6 months....I always assumed Hondas were extremely expensive to insure....because my nissans always were....

I have geico and it's pretty reasonable....

Yeah, i pay almost 3000 a year also (2880). But the reasons are valid. 1 speeding, and 1 street racing ticket . Oh well, i am only on full coverage for 2 more months until my car is paid off, then on liability it goes.

Wow, some of you guys are getting railed. I now feel good about only paying a little over $1500 every 6 months on my '93 MR2 Turbo with full coverage.

Full coverage on my 98 ek is just 400 every 6 months. Only one speeding ticket and it's through nationwide. Give them a call. It depends where you live an where you sign up at alot also. If you live in the burbs it will be cheaper than say in a big city.

-no drop for you, unless you own a 96+ hybrid but DO NOT add any of the value of the mods/swap under your policy
-I mean if you dont notify them the car has $$$$$ in mods then you dont pay more for that coverage but your mods/swap will NOT be covered in case of theft or damage, so you lose in the end.
