Re: installing racing seats(i have searched) (civicnightmare)
we just put a set in my buddy's teg...
1.) we took off the oem seat and unbolted the oem sliders from them.
2.)we rebolted the oem sliders to the floor.
3.) we had flat, thick pieces of steel cut and then mounted on the bottom of the new seat with the bolts that came with the seat!
4.) we aligned them just right in the car on the oem sliders.
5.) gave very small weld tacks to hold it in place.
6.) unbolted seat from steel beams
7.) removed oem sliders with steel beems tacked to them
8.)finish a complete weld OUTSIDE the car...lol
9.) bolt new seat onto the steel beams once more, and attached seatbelt buckle to the side of oem slider.
10.) put new seat in car and bolt down
11.)repeat for passenger seat....(if you feel they need a nice seat too)
good luck...it's not hard at all!

Re: (dantastic)
I installed a set of racing seats in my '92 HB and it was a royal B*TCH. Thanks to a friend that works with metal. I bought a set of those universal brackets and they did not work right. I had to have special mounts made so it would sit right and had to drill the universal so the seat meet up right.
I also found out that you can not use the brackets or parts from your factor seats to mount with. My best advice is to find someone that can bend and weld. Good Luck...................
