installing a new grill on a 99 si?
i just got the badgeless grill for my Si. and the install seems to be a lot harder than i thought itd be. i popped off all the black plastic screws on top. but i guess theres more screws behind the grill, infront of the radiator. do i have to take my whole radiator out just to get to them?
thanks

you have to remove your bumper. there will be one screw in each fender, i think 3 screws under the bumper and all the little screws when you open your hood, then once you get your bumper off you will see how easy it is to change your grill.

are their 2 different kinds of grills for SI's?
I thought if you wanted to make it "badgeless" all you had to do was take the badge and the mount that holds the badge on, off of the grill.

your friends are morons, never listen to them again.
the badge is held on by 4 screws, take off the bumper, undo the screws and it all just comes appart, now you have yourself a type-r grill.

to remove the bumper you have to get a few screws from under the bumper, but you dont need to jack up the car, just look under it

no need to take the whole bumper off, just remove the top bolts and one on each side of the fender lining. the bumper should fall forward a little. just reach back with a small screw driver and undo the screws

it's a lot easier to take off the bumper to get to the screws behind the grill. and depending on how low your car is, i'd jack it up to get better clearance to the bolts underneath the bumper

bwahahaha, nice man. Yeah the little honda emblem unscrews from the grill giving you a clean badgeless grill. You have to take of your bumper, it seriously take about 4 minutes or less, not hard at all.
