Unhook the negative terminal of your battery and leave it off for about 10 minutes then hook it back up and see what happens...
If you just installed a header it's probably your O2 sensor... check that first.

I'm guessing it is the O2 sensor, but what could it be? Both sensors are in place and connected. Could it be a broken sensor?
Thanks

to reset ecu, either take the negative battery cable off for a minute or two or, pull the back-up radio fuse from the under-the-hood fuse box for ten seconds. would be helpful to do a diagnostic test with a scan tool.

wait a minute. when you install a header on a y7 you have to put a completely different catalytic converter on the car due to the fact that the y7 manifold and cat are in the same piece. the aftermarket header doesn't have a cat designed in it. usually you would have to extend the downstream o2 sensor to make it where it can reach a new cat behind the header. my guess is that you the second o2 sensor plugged in the header also and therefore it is setting the cel off because there is no cat on your car?

^^ This man is correct. You are going to have a CEL reguardless unless you get a downstream cat and plug in your secondary 02 after a catlytic converter.

best thing to do is to get a carsound cat. they have them on ebay for pretty cheap. make sure you tell the guy you need one with a o2 bung before placing bid. you'll have to weld it in, but a new ex stock converter is around $700. these carsounds are about $80. also, you'll have to extend the wires from the downstream o2 sensor so they can reach the new cat. another option, if you don't have emissions inspections in your county is to leave the cel on and ride without a cat. it will run faster without it but is illegal. or, you could put the stock y7 manifold back on but that suck because you've already bought the aftermarket one.

The stock EX cat is not 700 dollars, that's the y7 exhaust mani/catalytic converter combo. That's why is pricey. A stock EX cat is under 100 bucks, and I would get that before a high flow. I don't know anyone who's had one for longer than a year before it died.
