install on a carbon hatch !! EK4
hi im just wondering how hard is it to install a CF hatch onto a 98 civic hb?
Its probably alot harder than my coupe was since you have to remove the glass

not really that hard to do, w/ the exception of the glass, i was lazy, so i just cut the wiring for the license plate lights.. but who cares.. and i just paid to have a new window put in, since it comes w/ the moulding attached to it... this local guy only charged like $60... after feeling how light the hatch was w/o a window i was really hesitant to put a glass back in, but to keep it legit for the street class... i had to...

Not on a street car it's not. 15 to 20 pounds for $500-$900 is not money well spent. Period.

I didnt specifically do it for weight savings, i liked the look to go w/ my carbon spoiler and carbon hood ... to combat the weight i run an h22 turbo.. so im not really worried about weight... hence the "molded" body kit

Not period. Its also use for its aesthetic value. In your eyes, it may damn well be a waste, but I would love to have one on my car even if it has minimal weight savings. I like the looks but its not like id go on a diet to go faster...

... My points exactly...
As I said, that's subjective... Your opinion is money wasted... Mine, like a few others on this board like the way it looks as well...
You know what they say though; Opinions are like *** holes...
