Default Injectors

I am finishing my h22 swap and wanted to know which injectors to use.

Which type of injector uses the resistor box? saturated or peak/hold?

someone please chime in because i need to buy them today.

Peak and hold injectors use the resistor box.

saturated = high impedence = no box
peak/hold = low impedence = box

so peak/hold would be better for this swap boosting 12lbs looking for 300+ right?

I also heard that some DSM injectors could be used without the resistor box, is that true?

Or is that with saturated DSM also? Im not too knowledgeable on injectors but i do know the resistor box brings the current down.

Peak/hold are what 12 omhs and saturated are around 4? why not just run the saturated since they are closer to stock?

peak/hold are low resistance, saturated are high resistance.

what car is the swap going into? what year is your h22? what ecu are you using?

94 ej2, 94 h22a1 mild build running chipped p28 w/s200.

also should i run a p13 since the p28 doesn't look for the iab's?

you car does not have a resistor box so if you want to run p&h injectors you need to add one. its easier to just run saturated injectors for your car.

NOTE: 94 h22 oem injectors are peak and hold, measure resistance between the two pins to verify. so if injectors came with your swap then you need a box.

as far as the p13 goes, you can get one if you want IAB control and are going to run the h22 in stock configuration. or just stick with the p28 and disconnect the vacuum line to leave them open at all times. also you can add circuitry to the p28 to control IABs as well, your call.

Yeah i doesn't stock but i have one. Just trying to see if i could get out of running one with out losing gain by using saturated injectors. with my setup, i want to run either
550cc or 780cc dsm injectors.

with saturated what size should i run for my setup?

to add circuitry, you mean a switch connect to the pin on the ecu right?

550's should be great for 300 whp. i made the mistake on getting too big of injectors for my setup lol i have 1000's in my built sohc but don't need them, i have some weird idling issues because of the large injectors

for the price of what you are probably going to pay for those 550cc dsm (not sure if dsm's have 550s) but you could buy a set of RC's

550cc are good for 300whp but im not aware of any saturated dsm injectors that will fit a honda rail and clips. as stated above just get some rc 550's they are specifically designed to fit hondas

and by adding circuitry for IABs i am referring to...

3) Remove R135 if present

4) Install jumper wire from Right Hand Side of R135 to Arrow Side of D13

As for the injectors, they are p/h dsm's:

but about the circuitry, i dont think im that inclined to work on the board. i tried soldering once before and f'ed up a pretty good p28, so never mind!

that link is of new injectors, they are just built to fit a dsm. when we say dsm we are generally referring to used oem 1g eclipse injectors. they are 450cc and p&h and just happen to fit hondas with little mods. they are also cheap.

again, get some saturated 550cc's and you are set for 300whp. no box, no mods. plug and play

ok cool.

can you explain why most people run p/h instead of saturated? whats the difference other than the ohm output?

in the past saturated injectors had a limit on size, you could only get them in a max of 750cc, something to do with the design. p/h were available up to 1600cc.

now they have new saturated injectors that go as high as 2000cc from injector dynamics. check out t1raceparts.com for more info

so these would be great for my setup then. no box at all..
