Default Imput Shaft Bearing ?s

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...SHAFT

Part no. 13 is the imput shaft bearing correct?

I've looked over BauleyCivic's writeup and I think my tranny isn't going to make it until next weekend when I get the new tranny (which I have to drive 4 hours for and I'm scared to death it won't make it).

Yeah I'm going to try to borrow my parent's 4runner. As much as I hate driving it, I'd almost rather drive my busted hatch.

I'm not fixing it myself because I tried to pick the bearing up today at Honda and it won't be in until next Friday if I order it. I'm going to pick up a new Z6 tranny on Friday night. Why order it then?

My y7 tranny sucks and I was actually willing to tear it down this weekend so I would be good to go next weekend, but the lack of parts has kept me from doing so.

I've got family in Charlotte, but only go about once a year. I'll actually be in Grenville next weekend helping a guy do a swap. In return for that I get to get rid of my busted tranny and put in the new hotness tranny.

Anybody think a junkyard will sell me a ISB?

Why would you want to take off your tranny twice? Its a time consuming affair and is a TOTAL pain in the ***.

My thoughts exactly, but I don't want this thing to die on me halfway there. I'm going to be close to 4 hours from home and I really really really don't want to get stuck. Guess I don't have a choice though now. Damn Honda and their lack of parts on hand!

I don't see why you've narrowed it down to the ISB so quick.

It could also be the main shaft bearing, which makes the same noises as the ISB would make, as well as TOB sometimes.

2 weeks ago I tore a tranny apart expecting to replace the ISB, but it ended up being the main shaft bearing. Took 30 seconds to replace compared to 30 minutes and a lot less work....ok, I'm going back into hybernation
