i'm new & i have a problem
uhmm.. my first post..
i'm having problems with my 93 civic ex turbo.
Ok, on my way to work my car stalled at a red light on me...The car was idling at the time(1500rpm); as i started to let off the clutch, it shook like it was running on 3 pistons and died. It took me a few tries to get it started again...It also died on me when i was coming home from work. After I start it up, it runs normal again. This is the first time my car has stalled on me. I couldn't find out what is wrong with it. I'm thinking it could be my msd6a. Can anyone help.
mods:
*93 civic ex
*95 z6 motor (60,000miles)
*greddy turbo & intercooler
*greddy turbo timer
*greddy fmu
*msd 6a ignition
*msd spark plug wires
*msd distributor cap
*msd blaster coil 3
*zex turbo/nos spark plugs
*b&m short shifter
*b&m fuel pressure regulator &gauge
*thermal tech heat wrap
*thermal turbo exhaust system
*pwr aluminum radiator
*red fal fan
*str fuel fail
*missing link map bypass valve
*blitz blow-off valve
*field boxer sfc vtec controller
*auto meter gauges (air/fuel, oil press., boost)
hope you guys can help me.

First things first
check spark plugs and make sure each cylinder is getting a spark from the dist.
check all spark plug wires for any cuts, nicks, etc. if you have an electrical tester check the resistance on the plug wires.

Re: i'm new & i have a problem
my spark plugs tips are really black..I cant even remove the black stuff from it..could that be it..I've been running to rich lately. I also have a ignition kill switch hooked up to my msd 6a. I was thinking that was the problem but the switch is a 50 amps switch and didn't blow yet.

is your turbo timer hooked up correctly and all the settings good? Maybe it's switching off....just a guess, I';ve seen it before.

Tsk tsk tsk...poor greddy turbo kit owners-- always uppin the fuel pressure for boost...but it never comes down. You need a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. done and done.

Re: i'm new & i have a problem (integranator)
actually, i just had an exeperience with something very simular to this.
it was on a 00 Prelude.
turbo charged.
His car kept doing the same thing.
well anyways, was their a recent change in the weather.
what happened whit htis guy was that the past few days it was raining like crazy, then it got really hot, and humid. His A/F was changed dramatically and cause his car to be to Rich.
Prb was solved by puting it on the dyno with A/F meter.
and retuning.
