i was driving then all of a sudden the car dies well alot of ppl said its the ignitor so i changed it and still wont start its not the timing belt because i have the cover off and the belts still good spins no cracks nothing is it the battary?? maybe i tried crankin it too many times and the batt died??

dont do a shotgun machanic style of trouble shooting... if you want to kno if its the battery.. turn your headlights on, if thats not dead.. then your alternator is still good...check all fuses... check your gas if you have any.. try to use common sense..

i got gas on my plugs so gas is in there batt might be low from how many times i tried to crank it alt should still be good im gonna look for spark but i dont have anybody around at this time to help me crank the car headlights do turn on but still that could bean theres enought juice to turn the lights on but not start it

oh and i found out the ignitor died because i checked for spark at the coil and plugs 1 sec there was spark at the coil then i checked again and there was no spark at the coil so pretty sure ignitor died since its common on civics

atleast you didnt do a shotgun mechanic style .. just replacing **** till it gets fixed..

replacing stuff cost money dammit so close to starting the car i replaced the ignitor im gonna try the coil tommorow arghh if that doesnt start damn ill be pissed

Try your coil, if you have an ohm meter you will be able to test if. I had a problem just like that and it was the coil.

ya im gonna try my msd kit out i changed the ignitor so im guessing the coils bad or the whole dizzy it self ill let u guys know and for the guy who asked me check your ignitor,coil,dizzy or worst case timing belt oh and if u havent checked yet check if your getting fuel

hmm changed the coil to a msd external now the car is so close to starting every 2-4 sec u can hear the engine fire up but wont start what else could it be??? changed the ignitor,coil

damn oddest thing happened took my friends dizzy put it on my car still wouldnt start charged up batt for a bit tried it again car started but died immediatly whats wrong????
