idle surging Please help!!!

idle surging Please help!!!
i have a 94 civic dx with 173k on it and the idle surges going up and down... i have no clue what it is but when i unplug the sensors on the throttle body then plug them back in its fine again.. any help would be great thanks

might be your IACV, or, Idle Air Control Valve. its a pretty common problem with hondas. give it a shot
btw.. try doing a search, you might find what you need there, too.

So far I've had 2 Idle Air Control Valves that have gotten "stuck". I pulled them off, cleaned them out, and everything has worked fine. I think they don't like to sit without being used. Both times I let the cars sit for months and then this loping idle started.
