Default Idle stops and goes

Car is a '93 Civic DX with a D16Y7 and AT.

Car starts up fine and the idle is good at that point. If I drive it around for around ten or so minutes, stop, and shift to park the idle issue shows up. I tried cleaning out the IACV but it did nothing. Video of the issue as it will explain things way better than words. I have work in about three hours and it's a bit rainy at the moment but I'll try all advice when the weather allows it.

Forgot to mention it's not guaranteed to idle like that every time. Just went for a drive and it only made that idle stop once then it idled normally.

Think maybe I need to reset my ECU since the distributor rebuild? I'll go ahead and try that.

Check you vacuum lines for cracks
Replace any you find
Replace pcv valve
Ensure coolant level is good.

Coolant is topped off and hasn't changed at all. I reset the ECU and am letting it idle for a little bit. I'll see if it happens again after I drive it around. Not sure about the PCV valve. Still educating myself so I'm not sure where it .

Its under the intake manifold with a hose coming from the black box.

I have a question.

You have a y7 in an obd1 car

did you swap it or buy it that way?

How was the wiring done and what ecu do you have

Is your catalytic converter on the manifold or under the car

I bought it that way last August. Was swapped by an older guy who owns quite a lot of Hondas. Sadly I neglected to get the rest of the information.

Pull the carpet back on the passenger floor board and read the code on the ecu

CEL does indeed work. When I went to get my distributor rebuilt a code showed stating a fuel plug was loose so fixed it. Cooling system hasn't been bled. I went on a drive safter the ECU reset and the idle issue hasn't showed up. I deliver pizza so if it's still there it will show up while I'm working.

It's the OEM ECU. Has the date October 12 1992 printed on it.

Does the air filter sit on top of the throttle body indicating factory y7 intake manifold or does it sit at the passenger head light with the long intake manifold like stock

Everything around the engine is stock, yeah.

So you have the factory for your cart intake manifold and exhaust and the only thing from the y7 is the motor andpossibly transmission.?

This is important as far as wiring concerns and sensors/idle control valves.

If this is correct then my first suggestion is to take off the fitv on the bottom of the tb clean it and screw the plunger back in. this can help eliminate it as a source of vacuum leak.

Also now the pcv is on the manifold between the runners

Might help to post pictures of the engine bay and throttle body.

Looks like the ECU reset fixed it. I put about sixty miles on the car since I reset it and no idle problem.

I'm going to say you will be back. Temperature humidity etc all affect these things

True. Though the problem showed up after I got new spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, and fuel filter. Just didn't think about resetting my ECU.
