ok so heres the story, my 98 ex is having some kind of idle problems. it idles very very low and when the cluth is fully engaged it shudders as if it is going to stall out. then when i put it in gear it stalls out. im not sure whats wrong with it and im not a mechanic but know somthings about engines. i was also driving it yesterday when it was working fine and i was on a highway going fast when it all of a sudden stalled out on me. i was shifting into 5th when it did that. dont know what the problem is so any help is appreciated

also, no check engine lights are going on when the car runs. just when i shift the rpms get dangerously low. almost to the point of stalling out, thats why i think it did it while i was on the highway.

I overcharged my AC system and the car almost stalled out a lot while sitting at lights and shifting gears.
After I fixed the AC, the mechanic said that a knock sensor was going out.
The sensor is bad on my car and it gets really low on the RPM's and is still close to stalling but not as bad as to stall.
It also took it a week or so to throw up a CEL.


I still haven't fixed the sensor so I'm not sure it will fix that, but at least it's one thing to look at.

well the condensor in my car is taken out so it cant be the ac. me and my buddy are gonna clean out the iacv tomorrow. hopefully thats all thats wrong

I hope the sensor is my only problem and not a combo of that and the condenser.
