Default Idle problems

Ok this is the situation. 95 b16 sir bottomend/95 gsr head with the butterflys removed. ( I didn't remove them kid that bought the car from me did, I just got it back) It Idles at 2 grand then after driving will occasionaly drop to 1000. I have gone over all vac lines, replaced the Iac just incase, replaced gaskets and the TB. Might it be the fact that he removed the butterflys? Appreciate any insight

Seems like a vaccum leak to me. You can check the FITV valve if you have one on the bottom of the throttle body. Make sure coolant is topped of and bled free of all air. If your SURE none of that is the case, adjust the idle screw on the TB. Thats what I do. :]
