idle problem question....
i just swapped a b18c in my 92 hatch, now im having idle problems......when its idling it goes up and down, up and down. i think it might be the TPS on the throttle body but im not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions?? also i was told that the sensors on the throttle body arent available by themselves..is this true???? id appreciate any help...thanks

Re: idle problem question.... (ruckussss)
you can get used ones that work it could be the TPS but it could also be the IAC valve on the back of the throttle body check to see what the voltage is on the TPS to make sure it is set right and try cleaning out the IAC valve

Re: idle problem question.... (ruckussss)
also try bleeding the coolant.the fast idle valve on the bottom of the throttle body can cause the same problem if there's air in the coolant.
the same sensor can also be the cause of the problem if it goes out of adjustment.
if you remove the sensor from the throttle body, then remove the endplate you will see what looks like a big flathead screw:
(this is looking at the TPS side of the throttle body)
tighten that till it stops, then turn it back out a turn or two.
